The Brain Strainer

The Brain Strainer is an engineering puzzle game. Launch your rocket by getting the ball onto the red button. The trick is to do it within 10 minutes, but at the same time, you want to score as many points as you possibly can by bouncing the ball as if it this was your own personal pinball game.

And, of course, that's the rub. You want to build a machine that will get the ball to launch your rocket, but you also don't want it to happen quickly. Amazingly enough, that ball will hit that button eventually unless you completely block it off.

Tip: don't leave any flat spaces. The ball can (and will) stop because of friction. Another tip, if the ball is bouncing around too much, switch to one of the others. There are three balls to choose from: rubber, wood and metal.

Blast Off

Blast off is another puzzle game in which you need to click on things in the right order to win the game. This time, you're trying to launch the space ship, but everything seems to be out of place.

I don't think it's too hard to figure this one out, but the faster you do it, the better your score. I'll post a walkthrough in the comments section in case you get stuck.

Armor Cube

Armor Cube is the simplest of puzzle games, until the later levels, of course. Simply connect the matching colored squares by coloring in each square in between them. But don't block off access for the other colors, or you'll have to start all over.

The game cube reminds me of rubiks cube. But this game is a lot harder than Rubiks.

Mind Your Manor

Mind Your Manor is similar to Grow at eyezmaze in you need to click on each object in the right order to finish the game.

The graphics aren't as good, but I like the time limit plus 'levels' or 'chapters' you need to complete at each stop. Not that the story makes all that much sense. The order you need to click on things is a little more intuitive.

The Mind Your Manor walkthrough is located in the comments section.

Dice Wars

Dice wars is strangely familiar, but that just may be a reaction to all those years of playing risk. A randomly drawn map has been generated, and its up to you to conquer all. Roll your dice and if your sum adds up to more than your opponents, you get to take his square. Lose, and it's back to dice one for you.

Play against up to 7 other computer players. Five seems to be a good compromise, but try them all.

Choose which territory you want to attack with and then choose which territory to attach. All the dice you have on your territory will roll. All the the defensive dice will roll. Whoever rolls the highest will win (ties go to the defender). If the attacker wins, he gets the territory and all but one dice will move onto the newly acquired space. If the defender wins, all but one die are lost.

Replacement die will be placed randomly after your turn. Only eight die can be placed on any one square. Strategy is bigger than you think in this game. Just as in Risk, controlling a section of the board can give you defense in depth, allowing you to advance cautiously. Attack to much in one round and you may leave the way open for your opponent to take a lot of territory back in the next round.

Arnys Battle

Arnys Battle is a flash shooter similar to ALIAS and New Metal Slug. Take control of Arny, a strangely well equipped archaelogist who has been accused of stealing. Battle your way through the mechanized monsters who are attacking you almost non-stop to the finish.

Each level brings new challenges and new powers, and so you will keep on trying to get 'just a little further'. Use your left mouse button to shoot (you can hold it down for auto fire) as well as look around (move your mouse in the direction you want to see more of and the screen will move with you). Use the arrow keys to move around and jump.

The graphics aren't as clean as in ALIAS, but that's because they are trying to do more with them. The music will slowly drive you mad, however.

Mister Fox

Mister Fox is more an exercise in old time black and white animation than it is a game. But that's what makes it fun. The game isn't hard, but if you ever watched steam boat willie and enjoyed it, you'll enjoy playing this game.

Controls are basic. Jump with the a key, move with the arrows. You can jump on and eliminate some enemies, others you just need to avoid.

Even the music has that old time feel.

Zwok

Zwok is set in a time unknown in a place unknown, where harmony rules all. Except for those strange few who just need to vent a little bit. And so a game was created called Zwok, where those strange few could gather and start whacking each other with oversized balls.

Basically, zwok is a team version of tanks. Move your character left or right (position yourself wisely) and then aim and set your power using your mouse. You have two choices for your ammo (if you sign up the 'lazy' way) and five if you actually sign in. If you sign in, you also get to rank and see the high score table.

Unfortunately, you can't talk to your partners or taunt your enemies. Your character will say creative things like score or oops (when he hits himself with a ricochet). But it would be nice to cuss out your partners when they hit you in the back of the head. Which is too bad, because otherwise this could be a great game.

Red Dragon

Red Dragon is a flash shooter. Control your dragon as he flies around the screen shooting up various enemies. Just be careful about your weapon choice, as some enemies reflect certain elements, while other elements can do greater damage. At the same time, you also have to keep in mind how much ammo you have for each weapon. Running out of fire elements can be easy to do, but not very healthy in the long run.

Use your mouse to point the way. Your dragon will reflect fire off his topside (red), and deflect cold with his belly (white). Choose your ammo carefully (1-6). BTW, number 6 is the spike bombs. After firing them, hit space bar to activate them (hard to hit anything, but good damage when you do). Each enemy has a particular weakness. Find it and blow them out of the sky. Also, don't waste your ammo. It's very easy to go on a shooting spree, then realize you can't take out the next guy.

I was going to post this five days ago, but the site seemed to be having real problems. It's up now, so here you go.

Shuffle Bump

Shuffle Bump is a one-on-one online version of shuffle board, which means there are plenty of twists to keep you occupied.

Bump your puck carefully in order to land on the right square for points. Or you can be more aggressive and bump your opponent off the board. There are different playing fields and different obstacles to be aware of.

Beating your opponent gives you tokens and access to the jackpot.

Destroy the World

Destroy the World may be an ambitious goal, but it's all in self defense. It seems those crazy earthlings have enough weaponry to destroy the federation of aliens, so your job is to go down there and strike first before they can destroy us.

Fly your saucer with the arrow keys, making sure to dodge out of the way of incoming missiles. Fire the laser with the space bar.

You would think an alien technology would work better, but it's really difficult to hit your targets. There's also very little space to dodge. You may want to try the easy level before moving on the harder levels.

Roly Poly

Roly Poly lets you roll a hedgehog through the maze. Just avoid all the traps, spikes, arrows, bombs, etc... along the way, as they can be deadly.

Just click anywhere in the circle to rotate the wheel. This will get the hedgehog rolling in the right direction. If you have issues, you may need to reduce the quality.

When you go to the site, and you have a pop-up blocker, you may get an error message. Look to the left where the link for Roly Poly is. Click on that and you will be able to play within that window. Otherwise, I'm not sure any hints or tips are necessary for this one. But if you get stuck on any levels, let me know and I'll help as much as I can.

Grow ver2.

Grow ver2 has been released over at eyezmaze. Check it out! If you liked any of the other grow games(Grow Cube, Grow ornament, etc...), you'll enjoy this 'mini' grow.

As with the other grow games, pick each item in the correct in order to maximize their potential. This one is rather non-intuitive, so I'll put a walkthrough in the comments section.

It looks like ver2. was a test version or something as the other grows are more colorful, complicated and fun.

Ragdoll Master

Ragdoll master is a mouse avoidance game with a nice twist. Your ragdoll is being shot at and it's up to you to avoid the gunfire. Use your mouse to move your ragdoll out of the way as fast as you can.

Keep in mind that your ragdoll will string out behind you, so use some strategy in your avoidance tactics. You need to move out of the way quickly. If you get hit, a nice feature is the text message that comes up telling you where your ragdoll was hit (left leg, right knee, etc...).

For every 1000 points you get, another shot will come your way.

Ally the alien

Ally the alien is a jumper. You need to help Ally jump his way from platform to platform avoiding any obstacles and picking up any crystals that come your way.

Pick your angle and velocity with your left mouse button. Jump carefully, you only have so many lives to live. Avoid any shooting comets. You can bounce off the side walls, but don't expect to land on the platform you just left.

Really nice graphics with fun sound track differentiate this platform jumper from others. I've also seen this type of game played as mini-golf, but this game is a step up. Although, I wish they would just give you infinite lives so that you can keep on playing and just keep trying to move on through the harder levels.

Final Slam

Final Slam pits you up against up to 96 other fighters in a flash fighter game. Create your own fighter and take on other players, or work your way through the ranks to become the champion.

Use aswd to move your character around. Punch with g and kick with h (difficult to do on a split keyboard, let me tell you). Taunt your opponent with the space bar, and get some health back. Your fighter will automatically block high hits, but to block low you need to duck. Special attacks are possible with down, left, punch or down, left, kick (or down, right,...).

Really, quite an in depth fighter game. The graphics aren't half bad and the sound effects are good. Challenging others seems pretty straightforward.

Narwhaldiving

Narwhaldiving is simple but amusing. You are a narwhale. For some reason beyond reckoning, you've decided to practice highdiving into the ground from 220 feet up. Dive off into space, trying to hit the center of the bullseye.

Hit the space bar to jump. As you drift down, the wind will randomly push you one way or another. Get back on track using the arrow keys. That's basically it.

The highest I could get was 917. Don't expect to get addicted to this game, but it should be fun for a few jumps.

World Cup Soccer

World Cup Soccer puts you in charge of your home team playing through the World Cup Soccer tournament. You will play soccer (football for you Europeans... ;-) in a 4x4 event against the computer.

Use the arrow keys to move one player around (look for the circle under the player to see who you are controlling). Use z to switch players or pass the ball. Use x to shoot. You don't control the goalie, so don't worry about him. He'll pass the ball back out when he gets his hands on it automatically.

This is a really nice soccer game with really nice graphics and good background lifelike stadium sound. You don't see such quality games very often. My only complaint is it's almost too easy to steal the ball, for the computer or you.
